An animation inspired by the podcast "The Vampire Rabbit" by Zaena Tessema, in which Tessema recalls a childhood memory about an invisible babysitter that her mother spoke of.

Process Work

An initial storyboard for the animation. Simple character designs for Tessema, her siblings, and her mother. The characters are drawn in a simple style with a yellow, pink, orange, and green color scheme. A full image of the photograph texture used for Duravey's design. Text reads, I photographed some plush toys and incorporated the image into Duravey's design. I wanted to convey the kids' wild imaginations and tendencies to represent the unknown with something familiar.
